Realme is on a spree lately, launching so many devices, that we’ve lost count. They’re pretty much the new Redmi. They have the Realme 8, Realme 8 Pro, Realme 8 5G and now there’s a Realme 8S coming. It has just leaked courtesy of 91mobiles and OnLeaks, in the renders below.
The smartphone comes with a quad back camera, even though some sources talk about a triple cam setup. We’ve got a 6.5 inch screen upfront, supposedly with 90 Hz refresh rate. The device also uses a Dimensity 810 5G processor, which I haven’t seen on many phones so far. It also has Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top and the back cam uses a main 64 MP sensor, plus probably an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, a Macro and Bokeh cam.
A side mounted fingerprint scanner is also here, plus 5G connectivity. There’s an USB-C port at the bottom, 3.5 mm audio jack, a speaker grille for a singular speaker. The chipset is paired with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and they also get an added 5 GB of virtual RAM, as we’ve seen before. Virtual RAM uses internal storage as a RAM addition. Companies like Vivo, Oppo, Realme, OnePlus are all doing that.
128 GB or 256 GB of storage are here and the selling point is probably a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Why am I calling it a selling point? Well, probably because the Realme 8, 8 Pro and 8 5G had fantastic battery lives. Expect a $200 price.
