2022 is shaping up to be the year of the discrete cameras, as the Galaxy S22 Ultra is about to start a trend. It’ll have a very discrete camera at the back, sans dedicated island and having the lenses sprout straight out of the panel. And now the midrange Samsung Galaxy A83 5G seems to go the same route. The device has been rendered by Letsgodigital and Technizo Concept and the results can be seen below.
I can’t help but wonder what the camera specs are going to be here, considering the Galaxy A73 is said to have an 108 MP camera and the Galaxy A80 before this one had a rotating and pop up camera. There was actually an in between model, the Galaxy A82 which debuted over the past year in India and China known as Galaxy Quantum 2. The design overall is pure Galaxy A, sans big surprises. Since it’s in the upper echelon of the Galaxy A series, it may well ditch plastic and go with metal and glass this time.
The source expected an unusual 6.6 inch diagonal and a flat Dynamic AMOLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate and also QHD resolution. The back camera either hosts a main 108 MP shooter, the new fangled Samsung 50 MP sensor (with a rather large size), a 12 MP ultrawide camera and a 12 MP telephoto 3x optical zoom cam or maybe a Macro cam. It could end up a Bokeh, since ultrawide cameras can do Bokeh now.
By the way, the Galaxy A82/Quantum had a 64 MP + 12 MP ultrawide + 5 MP Macro camera, IP certification, stereo speakers and microSD card slot. The CPU is a bit tricky to guess, but a Snapdragon 8 series is a must, unless it’s a sort of lighter Exynos 2200.
