We’ve about 3 weeks away from the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event, that will be held in San Francisco in order to unveil the Galaxy S20 series and also the Galaxy Z Flip. Every day we see a new render, color, hands on with the Galaxy S20 and I know you’ve seen plenty. This time we’re treated to a Pro render of the highest end phone, the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which we check out below.

The creation of great names in the field, Letsgodigital and Concept Creator, the Galaxy S20 Ultra gets its most detailed view yet. As you probably know already, there will be no Galaxy S20e this year, just a Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra. The Ultra is going to be a 5G flagship with a huge 6.9 inch screen and at least a quad camera at the back, hosting a 108 megapixel shooter. Letsgodigital and Concept Creator have worked together before on 3D renders of the Galaxy Z Flip a few weeks ago.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is shown here with a 6.9 inch AMOLED screen that offers a 20:9 aspect ratio. It’s so close to a tablet diagonal it’s crazy. Even the Note 10+ at 6.8 inches seemed huge, so imagine this one! One novelty we get here is the 120 Hz refresh rate screen, which should normally be set to 60 Hz, but kicked up for games and movies. Also, the 120 Hz only applies to the Full HD resolution. OnePlus 8 should also adopt a similar screen.

The selfie camera is cut in the center-top of the screen, like it was on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and I expect a sensor upgrade. The fingerprint scanner is integrated under the screen and hopefully works better than the Galaxy S10 one, that was a bit hit and miss, especially with a screen protection on. We’ll have a Snapdragon 865 processor inside, or the Exynos 990, depending on the region. We should also get 12 GB of RAM, or even 16 GB according to some rumors, even though that sounds like overkill.

Storage should go to 512 GB of even 1 TB. As far as the camera is concerned, we get a main 108 megapixel shooter, plus a 48 MP telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. There should also be a 12 megapixel ultra wide angle camera, plus a Time of Flight mechanism too. We’ll also have a new feature called Space Zoom, plus novelties like Single Take Video, Video Spin and a Pro Video mode. 8K 30 FPS video capture is part of the package, as well as 5G connectivity as a default.

Finally a 5000 mAh battery will juice up everything. Expect a 1250 euro price tag for this machine, hefty, I know, probably equated to $1200 or $1300 in most countries. From what I’ve heard Samsung also throws in some headphones, Galaxy Buds as a present. We’ll learn more as leaks continue!
