We’ve heard that Sony is looking to sell its Vaio division to some other company, but that doesn’t stop us from hoping that we’ll get to see a Windows Phone Sony handset some day. Till then we’ve got Victor Cao’s concept shown below and dubbed Sony Vaio F1.

This is a Windows Phone 9 device with a 5.2 inch Full HD IPS Triluminous screen and a quad core 2.36 GHz CPU, probably a Snapdragon 800. We’ve got 2 GB of RAM on board, a 16 megapixel back camera with 1/2 inch sensor and a Sony G Lens. There’s a 3200 mAh battery inside and the case is water resistant and metallic.

The design is pretty basic, rectangular and reminds me of the old Samsung Omnia 7, maybe with a touch of iPhone at the sides. By the way, there’s a Walkman player on this Sony Vaio Windows Phone device and it actually looks very nice. What do you make of this render?

[Thanks Victor Cao]
