iPhone 8 designer extraordinaire Benjamin Geskin has recently rendered the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. If the Xiaomi Mi MIX was any indication, the successor is going to set the trend for smartphone designs for the year to come. Now let’s see what the concept proposes.

First of all, the screen to body ratio clearly goes past 90% here and the bezels are super narrow. They’re basically non existent and the curvature of the corners and sides makes me feel some Galaxy S8 influences. I’m surprised there’s a singular back camera and from what I’ve heard this time around the back of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 won’t be all ceramic, but rather glass.

I have to say that my personal expectations include a dual back camera. Also, isn’t the main camera kind of placed low here? I’m expecting it a bit higher, especially if it’s dual indeed. The motherload of the Benjamin Geskin creations is the comparison below. He proposes a comparison with the Xiaomi Mi MIX 1 and the Galaxy S8+. Also there are 2 versions of the Mi MIX 2 here, one with a 6 inch screen and the other with a 6.44 inch screen.

Now let’s see this happen, under the tutelage of Philippe Starck.
