Here we are today with a brand new “iPhone X Killer”, this time the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, who really means business. The device was created by Techconfigurations and in spite of the fact we’ve heard zero intel about, it should be once again a game changer.
The first two Mi MIX models were made by Philippe Starck, a reputed designer, who imposed his nouvelle view in the world of smartphones. Actually the first Mi MIX was ahead of its time with the ultra narrow bezel and decisions regarding the earpiece and front camera. Either that model or a Sharp Aquos started the real edge to edge trend. Anyway, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 continues on the same line, once again with a crazy screen to body ratio, but also a very tall format.
Its frame seems borrowed from the iPhone X, being shiny and probably relying on stainless steel. The basic design language of the Mi MIX 2 is kept, with ceramic build and bezel less approach, as well as rounded edges. This time we get a 6.2 inch screen with 98% screen to body ratio and an eliminated bottom bezel. The camera has been moved to the top, with a pop up system similar to the Vivo APEX one.
The back camera has been updated with AI and the phone’s specs include a 6.2 inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 845 processor, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. At the back there’s dual 16 MP shooters, with OIS and upfront an 8 MP cam with pop up mechanism. If I’m not mistaking the fingerprint scanner is now integrated in the screen.
