If there’s one thing that Apple knows how to do, that’s to hype colors. Seriously, they made gold colored phones cool, while other companies made them ridiculous and then made the rose gold cool. Now how about a black iPhone 7 to make the pitch black the new gold?
Martin Hajek put this vision into the many, many renders below and I have to say that the result is very nice. The hue is called “space black” and the handset gets a touch sensitive Home button, as well as a Lightning headphone set to accompany it. It’s very nice to see the device compared to the iPhone 6S, because it gives you an idea of how much the camera sensor has grown and the way the antenna lines have been repositioned.
The flash remains the same size and the camera protrudes more now. A black iPhone 7 with a black background for the menus makes perfect sense and while it looks sleek and elegant, some will find it depressing and gloomy. Still, it’s much better than the hippie plasticky colors of the iPhone 5c. What do you think?
