Oppo seems to have abandoned the Find series of flagships, only to focus on experimental sub series. Yes, we do have the Oppo Find X, but we never got an Oppo Find 9… Designer Toooajk Ma imagined such a device months ago and you can see his work below.
We’ve covered several super Sony Xperia concepts createad by the same designer, so we know his work to be quality. Minimalism, transparency and clean lines define his designs. The Oppo Find 9 is a metallic handset, an unibody one that seems to have an atypical back camera. It feels like a singular camera, but it has a lot of extra mechanisms which I have yet to identify.
It has the old school vibe that the Oppo Find models and the first few OnePlus units practiced. From what I can see the main camera has an infrared mechanism, which helps the camera a lot with low light capture, proper depth capture and more. The phone has 5X optical zoom, Super VOOC fast charge and an impressive 4100 mAh battery. It runs on Android 8.1 and has reasonably sized bezels.
It also comes with a Snapdragon 845 CPU, 18:9 display, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage. I love the fact that the “chin” of the device looks so glossy and glassy, for an extra touch of style. With the Oppo Find X being cool but fragile maybe one step back is what Oppo needs now.
