We put design first and then smartphones, that’s why sometimes we tackle objects that aren’t phones. We’ve shown you TV sets, consoles, PCs, even cars, provided they were stylish enough. And today we’ve come across a TV set that I’m sure Apple wouldn’t mind having in its portofolio.
It’s called the Teleavia Retro and it’s a retro futuristic TV set concept, created by Hogeun Jang & PDF Haus. It feels like one of those TVs from back in the 60s or 70s, when everything tried so hard to seem futuristic and somewhat made it. Just watch “The Jetsons” and you’ll see what I mean. This minimalistic TV set is a flat screen machine with a retro inspiration and it goes with minimal furniture.
It saves space and has a minimal stand to rest on. The curved corners will be hard to pull off, unless the maker of this piece of work takes a leaf from the Samsung and LG page shown with the LG G6 and Galaxy S8. Seen from the profile this looks like a pretty thick and massive TV, but from the front it’s gorgeous. Interestingly, there’s also a leather handle at the top, feeling like the handle of a suitcase.
The back side of the TV really feels old school, if not even plain old. The huge speaker at the bottom is pretty interesting, though.
