here? Well, the teaser has turned into a finalized phone and Rahul Sharma delivers yet again a great design. The device is called Tizen Azure and comes with the tagline “it’s time for a change”. Samsung and Intel are the makers of the device, that relies on a titanium metal unibody construction.
Remember the Tizen OS phone fromIt has rounded curves at the sides and a profile that’s just 6 mm thin. We’ve also got the famous flexible YOUM display integrated, the one that Samsung has been working on for so long. The screen is integrated here with a 5 inch diagonal and a Full HD resolution. This turns the handset into a shatter proof unit and the screen stretches to the outer edges, as shown in the pics below.
Sensors will replace volume keys and camera keys, integrated into the display sides. Tizen Azure features a 2 GHz Intel quad core Bay Trail processor, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, Tizen OS Magnolia 2.0 on board and up to 128 GB of storage. There’s a 16 megapixel camera at the back with Nikon lenses and OIS, plus sensor based navigation and augmented reality.
We’ve also got functions like S Vision, S voice, S Surround and S Play, straight from the Samsung lab. Finally, under the hood there’s a 3000 mAh Li-Polymer battery that’s non removable. The design is very simple, minimalistic, a slab of metal with edge to edge glass upfront. Me likey!
