Nothing Fold (1): The Company’s First Foldable Could Debut in 2025, Here’s What It Might Look Like

Nothing is reportedly preparing to enter the foldable phone market with its first-ever device, the Nothing Fold (1). Teasers from the company suggest that it’s venturing into a new segment in 2025, and now we have a glimpse of what this foldable might look like, thanks to a concept design.

The standout feature of the Nothing Fold (1) is the inclusion of a glowing LED strip along the hinge, a unique touch that aligns with Nothing’s signature Glyph interface. The rear camera module takes on a triangular design, reminiscent of devices like the ASUS ZenFone 11 Ultra or a new ROG Phone. The overall flat and sleek aesthetic, combined with its gray finish, evokes comparisons to the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold or the OnePlus Open.

The external display is notably larger than competitors like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and HONOR Magic V3, making it potentially more practical for everyday use. Designer Sarang Sheth has even shared concept specifications: a 6.5-inch external screen, an 8.37-inch internal foldable display, and a Glyph interface on the back that lights up to display a “1” when booting the device.

The Glyph interface on the back isn’t just for aesthetics—it doubles as a third display. Notifications will flow across the LED lights, similar to the LED panels found on the ROG Phone series. The phone is expected to feature a triple camera setup, including a primary, ultrawide, and telephoto/Macro lens. Additionally, there are dual selfie cameras embedded in both the external and internal displays.

Under the hood, the Nothing Fold (1) is rumored to pack the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, the same chip found in the OPPO Find X8 Pro, alongside a 5,500mAh battery. It will run Nothing OS 3, enhanced with additional widgets tailored for foldable use.

The phone is impressively slim, measuring just 6.3mm when open and 14mm when closed, with a wireless charging coil visible through its transparent back—a hallmark of Nothing’s design language.

The Nothing Fold (1) is expected to be priced around $1,000, making it an appealing option in the premium foldable market, especially if it delivers on its ambitious specs.

This could mark a major step forward for Nothing as it seeks to shake up the foldable phone segment. If the concept is any indication, the Nothing Fold (1) promises to combine innovation and design in a way that only Nothing can.
