While everybody seems focused on Nokia 8 as the next Nokia flagship, we seem to have forgotten the Nokia 9. That device got back today, courtesy of a render done by Rafael Barbosa. Let’s check it out.

As the designer himself claims, he’s quite obsessed by the older Nokia Finnish design and that’s reflected here. I feel a bit of fresh Nokia approach here, like the Nokia 6, but also maybe some Xperia elements for some reason. The whole flat top and bottom, curved panel corners (external curved, not like LG G6) throw me back to the Lumia 800 or the Nokia N9.

It almost made me laugh to remember that Nokia was accused of copying the iPod Nano, since it did have some resemblance, but there was a long way to copying. We also get solid features and specs for the Nokia 9 here. We get a dual 20 megapixel camera, laser focus, dual pixel, F/1.7 aperture and Dolby Surround. There’s a magnesium crafted body, no plastic antennae, a 2.5D glass and stereo sound.

Upfront there’s a 5.5 inch AMOLED Quad HD screen and it’s a borderless panel. Snapdragon 835, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage are all here.
