Samsung Galaxy S22 leaks are piling up and it’s pretty logical since a January 2022 release means that Samsung has already set the wheels of production in motion, or at least ruffled up some feathers in the partners field. Today’s biggest news is that Olympus is out of the game, so they won’t be involved. Instead we get a surprise render for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus, courtesy of Letsgodigital. We even have a video below.
We’ve had enough Galaxy S22 Ultra leaks to last us a lifetime, so it’s time to give the Galaxy S22 Plus a spin. Rumors say that the device will have narrower bezels and also it’s not ready to ditch the punch hole from the screen. It does seem to me that the screen is a bit more curved now. An under display camera may be reserved for the Ultra or not present on the S22 lineup at all.
The weird rumor floating on the web claims that the S22 and S22 Plus will both get smaller batteries for some reason. The device shown here comes with a triple back camera and it’s the creation of designer Technizo Concept, in collab with Letsgodigital. They’re keeping the wraparound main camera module and somehow it now feels bigger, more massive. The 12 MP wide angle camera is probably replaced by a ISOCELL GN5, a 50 MP cam with very fast autofocus.
It uses a 1/1.57 inch image sensor with 1 micron pixels, which is expected to deliver an improved image quality compared to the 12 MP wide angle shooter from before. The 12 MP ultrawide camera is kept, while the telephoto camera is swapped for a 3X optical zoom unit. A 10 MP sensor may be used. The source also talks about a new feature that lets you adjust the focus in a video after taking it, something that the iPhone 13 has right now.
We’re also expecting a 6.7 inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. An Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 898 CPU will be in the cards, plus a slightly smaller battery (4500 mAh down from 4800 mAh on the S21 Plus). Android 12 with One UI 4.0 on top are also here. Fresh color versions can be enjoyed in the source link below.
