I mean come on Samsung, I’m sure you’re ready to use the tagline “w8 for it” in relation to the launch of the Galaxy S8 next Spring, so remember you’ve heard it here first. Anyway, today we scored a bunch of renders of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge handset, shown below.
It was created and designed by Omer Pala, a concept artist also known as Wardson. Just like the Galaxy S7 Edge compared to the Galaxy S6 Edge, this model is a slight evolution of the predecessor. There’s a big speaker added at the top of the phone this time, providing the user with “more sound”, plus a smaller size speaker at the back for “horizontal use”, basically gaming when you needn’t cover the speaker.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge has an USB Type C port for charging and connections. Available in Deep Black, Sea Blue, Violet and Cherry Red, the smartphone keeps the glass back and front, plus the grainy aluminum sides. While the designer didn’t use dual cameras here, I’m pretty sure Samsung will be ready to implement that on this model, especially if Apple does so come this fall with the iPhone 7 Pro.
The designer included a 16 megapixel rear camera, 12 MP front shooter, iris scanner and a 3700 mAh battery. 4 GB of RAM sound a bit dated, so it’ll probably be 6 GB of RAM in the end.
