Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Design Revealed Via Leaked Renders

Samsung is holding a virtual MWC 2021 event on June 28th, where the centerpiece will be a… timepiece. Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Active should be showcased there and today we learn more about them, courtesy of a leak. 91mobiles has scored renders of the Watch4.

These renders also show parts of the device that mention specs. Thus we learn that the Galaxy Watch4 has 40 mm and 44 mm sizes, 5ATM and MIL-STD-810G certifications, plus Gorilla Glass DX+ protection. It ditches the rotating bezel and it’s said to adopt a pretty compact body. There are buttons here, flat rectangular ones and the colors of the product are silver, pink and black. The design language is closer to the Galaxy Watch Active 2 rather than the Galaxy Watch 3 series.

Samsung is said to be dropping the Active name alltogether. As you probably already know, Samsung has given up on Tizen OS for its smartwatches, replacing it with WearOS, in a One UI flavour. Another source claims that the the new smartwatch will have a bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor, that measures body composition. It uses electrical currents to determine the body fat and muscle mass. Samsung has the BIA patent ever since 2019. Some even say we may get a blood glucose meter on board.
