Sony Xperia 1 VI Gets HUGE Leak With 70 Pictures Revealed

On May 17, 2024, our calendars are marked for the Sony Xperia launch event, eagerly anticipating the unveiling of their new flagship—the Xperia 1 VI or Xperia 1 Mark 6, whichever name you prefer. With the launch just 10 days away, today we’ve stumbled upon several promotional materials aimed at showcasing many of the key features, particularly in the camera and audio departments. Let’s dive into these revelations.

Starting with the camera, the new telephoto lens on the Xperia 1 VI will feature an 85-170mm focal range, an improvement over the 85-125mm range found on its predecessor. It appears to be the only camera that has received an upgrade in the new smartphone’s integrated photo setup, while the other cameras remain unchanged from the Xperia 1 V. An interesting new development is that all camera apps will be consolidated into a single app, potentially enhancing the user experience.

Switching to audio, the device boasts Hi-Res Audio, Hi-Res Audio Wireless, and includes a 3.5 mm audio jack—features that audiophiles will appreciate. The battery capacity is impressive at 5000 mAh, supporting both wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Under the hood, the Xperia 1 VI will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor, display a wider 120Hz screen, and run on Android 14 straight out of the box.

Memory configurations can go up to 16 GB RAM, and the overall design will not see significant changes from its predecessor.
