Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra has largely flown under the radar in terms of leaks and rumors, but that’s changed today thanks to a reveal by the prolific leaker Ice Universe. We’ve now got our first look at what could be Samsung’s 2025 flagship, and it comes with some notable design changes.
Ice Universe, a well-known critic and fan of Samsung, suggests that the South Korean tech giant is shifting towards a slightly more rounded design approach with the S25 Ultra. Gone are the sharp 90-degree angles that some users found uncomfortable; instead, the S25 Ultra takes cues from the design language of the S24 and S24+, with flat front and back panels but rounded edges that should make it more comfortable to hold. Interestingly, there might be a bit of asymmetry in play, with the back being slightly more curved than the front.
These changes appear to be driven by a focus on ergonomics. According to comparisons shared by Ice Universe, the S25 Ultra has been stacked up against the S24 Ultra and even the iPhone 16 Pro Max. While the new Galaxy S model features rounded corners on both its frame and display, it still maintains a more angular appearance compared to the iPhone.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to pack some serious hardware. The camera setup reportedly includes a 200-megapixel main shooter, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel super telephoto camera, along with a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor. On the front, there’s a 12-megapixel selfie camera.
The device will likely be powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging, similar to its predecessors. As for the processor, rumors point to a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 with custom Oryon cores. Meanwhile, the S25 and S25+ might come with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2500, featuring the Xclipse 950 GPU.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is shaping up to be a solid upgrade, blending new design elements with top-tier hardware. If these leaks hold true, Samsung might just have another hit on its hands.
