Concept Creator has brought back the Sony Xperia Cyber-Shot handset, this time with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a more modern design. It’s been a while since I last heard the name Cyber-Shot to be honest, so let’s see if there’s still room for this series on the market.

The point of inspiration here is the Sony Ericsson S and finally we see a concept flagship that’s got a narrow body. There’s a dual back camera in the mix, with a rather typical integration and the front of the new Cyber-Shot features curved edges. I’m loving the format of the phone: narrow, curved sides and a back that feels like a combo of Nokia 8 and maybe a Xiaomi Mi MIX.

It’s certainly better looking than the latest Xperia XZ1 an XZ Premium. However, the sign that things are getting rounded was given by the Xperia XZ1, that featured curved sides, but only slightly curved ones. Since it’s a Cyber-Shot, I’m pretty sure this device is a cameraphone, one that comes with an ultra high end camera. Because it’s a dual camera, Bokeh is a given, plus we should have 2X (or more) optical zoom, SteadyShot stabilization, Hi Res audio capture, 4K video at 60 FPS and more goodies.

BIONZ, Sony G Lens and the usual nifty stuff should be here. Finally an Xperia I’d buy. Can’t tell what materials are used here and if I were the maker of the phone I’d go back to the Xperia Z5 Platinum, that was mind dazzling.
