Talk about bringing everything and the kitchen sink on a device! Today we’ve uncovered the Sony Xperia XZ4 Flex, obviously a concept, this time one created by Techconfigurations. They’ve created a a 60 MP triple camera badass with a large 7.5 inch 4K Display. The device is able to fold, as shown in the video below.
To be honest I have a feeling Sony won’t even get to be in the foldable race. They haven’t even managed to move 1 million Xperias over the past 3 months and they also avoided trends like notches or cameras cut in the screen. Back to the Sony Xperia XZ4 Flex, this device integrates an in display fingerprint scanner and also offers a very slim bezel for the main screen.
It’s focused on a Portrait orientation, rather than landscape when folded it feels like a throwback to the Motorola FlipOut a bit, since it becomes a square. Specs include a 7.5 inch OLED 4K display, plus a set of 60 MP + 20 MP + 17 MP back cameras, in a triple setup at the back. There’s a Snapdragon 865 CPU inside, 8 GB of RAM and a 5500 mAh battery. I would have gone with more RAM, to be honest.
Maybe throw in some UFS 3.0 512 GB storage or something… The core design of the phone goes like this: it’s very long, perhaps even longer than the 21:9 format and it bends in half, right down the middle, while also leaving some room for you to use the triple camera. No selfie camera in sight, so my guess is that the main cam does double duty.
Not sure if this will ever happen…
