Loading ... Loading ... After seeing a beautiful smartphone designed by Aleix Ingles Elias, which pretty much looked like a HTC device, we have a look at another concept created by the designer: a business female phone. Keeping some of the design traits of the previous device, this concept phone uses soft shapes and comes with intuitive interface commands and a pad with minimal visual buttons.

The handset incorporates a “generous touch display” and a QWERTY physical keyboard, while the shell of the phone has a metallic feel. The keypad is all rubbery and the back of the device is adorned with soft touch black rubber, for a better tactile experience.

Sony Memory Phone Concept, a Slim Beauty

Loading ... Loading ... There aren’t many details about the concept phone below, except for that Sony and Orange branding, but I have to say that the Memory Phone’s design looks spectacular. It was created by Dominique Herbillon and to me it seems a state of the art device for social networkers who like to take pics, tag them and post them on their profile pages.

As you can notice, the phone’s input system is based on a yellow scroll bar that gives you access to the device’s main functions. I’m really curios if the handset’s display is a touchscreen as the above-mentioned input method is kind of limited. Also, I can imagine that the rotating part of the device includes its camera and hopefully it’s got a resolution larger than 2 megapixels.

Two Smoking Barrels Cellphone Comes With Built-in Stylus and Bluetooth Headset

Loading ... Loading ... We’ve seen a concept phone that includes a Bluetooth headset before, but the “Two Smoking Barrels” design manages to one-up the previous handset by also adding a built-in stylus on the features list. Imagine you’re in dire need of a pen, in order to jot things down, or that you keep losing your Bluetooth headset.

Two Smoking Barrels, designed by Zhongfang Lv comes with both accessories and the idea is so original, that we don’t even need to check out the phone.

The device also supports auto charging for the Bluetooth headset and its design looks like something Nokia would create, although its front keys are not very well defined. From what I can see, the phone’s not a slider, so it might be a touchscreen device with a 3.5 mm and probably a decent camera.

Loading ... Loading ... Edward Brown introduces the devices he designs as “phones for the immediate and not too distant future”. One of them is the Windows Mobile handset below, in fact an ultra slim Ultra Mobile PC/phone. It’s got a scratch resistant polymer and stainless steel casing and uses a touch based interface.

The list of features of this concept phone also includes a high resolution OLED screen and high resolution video and stills cameras. I wonder what chipset is running the show behind the case… And what about the internal memory? We’ll let the mystery be, at least till there’s a trace of branding on the UMPC/phone’s front side.

Loading ... Loading ... BenQ Siemens haven’t launched a hit phone in ages, so we’re glancing at concepts for now. The one below is a beauty if you ask me and any other music fan out there. This Coral/BenQ Siemens MP3 handset was created by Sasha Tseng from San Francisco, California and it’s a slider that can compete with the best phones pertaining to the Walkman series.

Since this MP3 device is a slider, it can switch from music mode to phone mode as you slide it upward or downward. Add a decent internal memory to this beauty and you’ve got yourself a winning double-slider BenQ Siemens!

Loading ... Loading ... This concept phone’s main feature is its sliding sensor pad, that takes interaction and input to the next level. The handset was designed by Sang hoon Lee and published on Coroflot, as for the pad, it’s made out of tiny 3D dots that sense the movement of the user’s fingers. Such a technology is useful for writing and drawing, only relying on your fingers.

Firely Multi-fly, the iPod Game Boy Phone

Loading ... Loading ... If so many names in a headline got you confused, you should know that designer Gabriel Prero has the teens’ preferences all figured out in his concept design. The Firely Multi-fly is featured on Coroflot and promises to be an alternative for your Sidekick, RAZR, , iPod and Nintendo DS. It’s a concept phone that targets the youngsters, the so-called “tweens” who change phones every year or so.

Studies have shown that tweens give up their handsets in favour of others every 18 months, so Firely Multi-fly tries to solve this issue. It can even appeal to a child and it’s got parental controls, so it’s a fine alternative to the Heart Phone. This concept is also up for gaming sessions, as it resembles an old-school Game Boy, but puts on an entirely different game.

The list of features doesn’t end here, though, as the handset can use expandable accessories, just like the iPod’s gear and even cartridges for games and other functions. If you thought that the Modu phone was unique with all of its jackets, wait till you see this! Firely Multi-fly comes with a camera cartridge and interchangeable keypad, so it can morph into a console, iPod or cameraphone at any time.

Pantech Noblesse, Luxury Phone at its Best

Loading ... Loading ... If you look at the phone below long enough, you’ll notice that words etched on its surface are “Pantech Noblesse”. Google the device and you’ll find no trace of it… Why? Because it’s a concept, a fancy luxury one designed by Hyun Sung Lee and seen on Coroflot. Notice the nice use of metals on its surface and I can bet that we’re dealing with silver or maybe stainless steel.

I can’t quite make out the keypad sadly, due to all that glow and I can’t help wondering where the display is. The phone seems to be a slider so placing the keypad on top of the display makes no sense… Till we figure this out, let’s have a look at this nice phone cover below, I bet it’s made out of crocodile skin.

Lenovo Concept Design, Inspired by the Ocean

Loading ... Loading ... Want a fashion cameraphone that’s also ? Add a wavy design to that and we’ve got an inspirational device, designed by xin FAN and shown on Coroflot. It’s got a Lenovo branding on it and a slightly uncomfortable keypad, that’s also wavy.

Lenovo Concept Design, Inspired by the Ocean

All of these design waves are inspired by the Ocean, according to the creator of the handset, while the camera’s coloured lens is embedded in the white housing and looks like a crystal block. The concept phone seems to be using some sort of “raw material” keeping it really environmentally friendly by reducing pollution.

Back to the phone’s lens, it would be produced with the aid of IMD technology that involves the use of the GE special plastic and attached to the device together with the speaker decoration. They’ll be attached to the housing through a heating procedure. In case you’re good at such technical stuff, maybe you got the whole process. I know I didn’t…

Motorola Concept Phone Features a Stereo Camera

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

Loading ... Loading ... This concept phone was designed by Lysandre Follet, from Paris, France and published on Coroflot and also on the device creator’s site (quite a nice one, actually). It may have a tiny little Blackberry form going on, but that stereo camera is surely a winner, if you ask me.

Add some e-mail support, Wi-Fi and a powerful speaker in the mix and this device might as well save the famous American brand.
