Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus Leaks in Mockups, CAD Renders; Features “Blade Bezel”

here’s a new design term you’re about to hear a lot for the rest of the year and in 2021 also: Blade Bezel. Apparently that’s the approach that Samsung is taking with the Galaxy S21 series. Over the weekend we saw the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S21 leaking out as renders and now it’s time for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus to leak. We have CAD renders from mysmartprice and also two front renders from Ice Universe.

First of all, the front reveal from Ice Universe doesn’t surprise anyone. Yes, the chin has been cut and bezels are quite small, but there’s actually no big surprise here. The selfie camera remains in a punch hole. I’d like to remind everyone that the Galaxy S21 series is now expected to drop in January 2021 instead of the typical March or February. The mockup also reveals a flat panel here, with symmetrical bezels all around. The source says that the S21 lineup will have the slimmest bottom bezel on the market and very high screen to body ratio.

In the meantime, the CAD drawings from MySmartPrice show us a phone that looks very much like the Galaxy S21, with that back camera “island” that feels like it’s taken from a different phone and glued here. Samsung is going to call its chin “Blade Bezel” for some reason.

Aside from the renders we also get some specs:

  • Flat 6.8 inch Quad HD OLED display
  • Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100/1000 CPU
  • up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM
  • 4600 mAh battery with 25W charger
  • 128 GB base storage (UFS 3.1)
  • Triple back camera: 64 MP telephoto, 10 MP main, 10 MP ultrawide

That’s all we know for now and I’m sure more renders will come.
